Part Exchange Your Static Caravan for a Lodge

Thinking about a part exchange for your static caravan? At Epworth Fields, a small, gated, owners-only lodge park in North Lincolnshire, we take motorhomes, static caravans and touring caravans in part-exchange. Your motorhome or caravan can go towards a lodge here. It’s the simplest way to trade up: one conversation and one deal, with no gap between holiday homes. Our lodges start from £49,995. The price includes siting, connection, decking and furnishings, and the annual site fee is £3,000 plus VAT, frozen for 5 years for every buyer.

Why static owners trade up to a lodge

Most static owners who come to us want one or more of these:

  • More space. Lodges are usually wider, with bigger living areas and bedrooms.
  • Year-round comfort. Lodges generally have residential-style windows, doors and insulation, which makes winter weekends more appealing. We have a 12-month season.
  • A quieter park. Lodges at Epworth Fields are for owners’ own use and can’t be let, so there are no changeover days and no holidaymakers next door.
  • Predictable costs. Our site fee is frozen for 5 years. You know your biggest running cost before you buy.

How part exchange for your static caravan works

  1. Call us on 07919 961115 and tell us about your motorhome, static caravan or touring caravan: the make, model, year, size and condition, and where it’s kept now.
  2. We talk it through and explain how part-exchange would work in your case.
  3. Come for a viewing, by appointment, to see the lodges and the park. You can bring photos and paperwork for your motorhome or caravan.
  4. Agree the deal. Your part-exchange goes towards your new lodge. Take the paperwork home and read it properly before you commit.

Every part-exchange is different, so we don’t publish set values. The best first step is a conversation.

Part exchange static caravan deals: what to compare

If you’re weighing up part-exchange offers from more than one park, compare the whole deal, not just the figure offered for your caravan. A higher part-exchange value can be cancelled out by extras on the new lodge or a higher site fee. Look at the lodge price, what it includes, the site fee and how it changes, the season, and whether the park lets lodges out.

What to have ready

  • the make, model, year and size of your motorhome or caravan
  • recent photos, inside and out
  • your purchase paperwork and any service or maintenance records
  • details of your current park and your agreement with it

If your caravan is on another park, check your agreement for any rules about selling or moving it. We can explain what we’d need from your side.

What you’re trading up to

Our current lodges are on the lodges for sale page. At the time of writing they include brand new Love Holiday Homes lodges, a Victory Lakewood, another two-bedroom lodge and a pre-owned three-bedroom lodge. Each listing keeps its own price, and every lodge comes:

  • sited on its pitch
  • connected to services
  • with decking in place
  • furnished

Around the lodges there are 12.5 acres of gated grounds, with woodland walks, a picnic area and an owners-only fishing lake (some lodges overlook it). Dogs are welcome, and Epworth’s cafés and pubs are a few minutes away.

Static caravan part exchange vs selling it yourself

Selling privately can get you a higher price, but it takes time and you keep paying site fees while you wait. Part-exchange is usually quicker and simpler, with one deal instead of two. Our guide, sell my static caravan: your options compared, sets out the pros and cons honestly.
