Lodges for Sale near Thorne

Our lodges for sale near Thorne are just over the Lincolnshire border. Thorne is a market town on the north-eastern edge of the City of Doncaster, right where South Yorkshire meets the Isle of Axholme. So Epworth Fields is just across that border in North Lincolnshire. We’re around 14 miles away by road, a drive of around 25 minutes via the A18 and A161.

Lodges for sale near Thorne: swap the moors for the Isle

If you live in Thorne or Moorends, you’ll know Thorne and Hatfield Moors, the largest area of lowland raised peat bog in the UK. But head east and the land opens out into the Isle of Axholme, with its flat fields and wide skies. Epworth Fields sits in 12½ acres of secluded grounds in that countryside, on Newlands Lane just outside Epworth. It’s also a small, gated, family-run park with someone always on hand to help.

Close enough to use every week

Because a lodge 25 minutes from home is one you’ll actually use, you won’t let it sit empty. With a 12-month season you can come over whenever you like: a Friday-night getaway, a quiet Sunday by the water or a week off without the airport. Also, there’s no booking and no packing for a long journey. So your lodge is ready when you are.

The lake, a hot tub and the dog

Here are three things worth knowing about day-to-day life on the park.

Fishing on your doorstep

The fishing lake at Epworth Fields is for owners only. There are no day-ticket anglers, so when you fancy an hour or two by the water, it’s there for you and your fellow owners. Read more about fishing at Epworth Fields.

A hot tub, if you’d like one

Hot tubs are allowed. They aren’t fitted as standard, but we can add one to your lodge for you, or you can add your own. See lodges for sale with a hot tub.

Bring the dog

Dogs are welcome at Epworth Fields, so your dog can come along every time.

Because the park is open 12 months a year, all of this works in winter too: a crisp morning walk, an afternoon by the lake and a warm lodge to come back to.

Can I buy with a mortgage?

No. You can’t buy a holiday lodge with a mortgage. We do accept lodges, motorhomes, static caravans, touring caravans and chalets in part-exchange.

Keep your favourite days out

First, Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre and Yorkshire Wildlife Park, both on the Doncaster side, are listed on our local area page. Likewise, Crowle Peatland Railway and Epworth Old Rectory on the Lincolnshire side. As a result, you get the best of both.
