Why Go Camping in Lincolnshire

With the summer holidays now here, if you’ve left booking a holiday till last the last minute consider a camping trip to a holiday park in Lincolnshire. It could be one of the cheapest and easiest holidays you will ever have!

Lincolnshire has so much to offer campers. Whether you’re after something completely off the beaten track, in the wilderness and with stunning nature around you, or the comfort of local amenities close by such as shops and restaurants. Camping at Epworth Fields Holiday Park in Lincolnshire ticks all those versatile options for keen campers.

Beach Holidays in Lincolnshire

With over 50 miles of coastline, it’s no wonder Lincolnshire is home to many popular costal towns – Many more than other coastal counties around England which is probably what attracts campers from all over the UK. And given our convenient location, we’re just a short drive from many of the sites, making Epworth Fields Holiday Park the ideal place to camp in Lincolnshire.

Cleethorpes is less than an hours drive away and has everything you’d want from a seaside town, huge beaches to walk along the shore and dip your toes in the water, classic amusement arcades and exceptionally delicious and fresh fish & chips.

Alternatively, Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea, Seathorne and Skegness are other coastal towns also within driving distance of Epworth Fields.

Family Fun Activities in Lincolnshire

If the beach isn’t your cup of tea, don’t worry, there’s much more to see and do in Lincolnshire for the whole family.

If you life for adventure, then a trip to Flamingo Land is every thrill seeker’s dream and the ultimate theme park attraction, with an award winning zoo.

With some of the biggest theme park rides in the region, it will sure be a fun filled day for the whole family! Perhaps ideal for the bigger kids, there’s still a lot to do for smaller children and of course the zoo is fun for everyone.

Family ticket prices (2 adults and 2 children) are around £120 and you’ll save money if you buy in advance, so it’s worth taking a look if you’re interested – https://www.flamingoland.co.uk/

Or if you’re travelling with Children under 10, pay a visit to Sundown Adventureland, it has everything to make them feel over 6 foot tall! No need to miss out on the rides at the big theme parks. With exciting rides to choose from including Rocky Mountain Ride, River Barrel Ride and Toy Town… The excitement only begins here!

Ticket prices for a family of 4 come in at only £61 – So it’s a big saving on other places, without breaking the bank! Again, you’ll save money in buying advance tickets online, so take a look at their website – https://sundownadventureland.co.uk/

Our personal favourite Lincolnshire family day out is Boston Park Farm – A traditional working farm that allows children to get up close to a wide range of farm animals and even pet and feed them!

So make sure they’ve been practising their moos and baahs as the animals will sure be putting them to the test! And if you’re really lucky there may be some baby lambs, piglets and other new arrivals depending on the time of year you visit.

If you’re visiting during the summer months from Mid-July and until the end of October, you can enjoy the exciting Maize Maze. It’s all harvested in October to feed the animals, but until that point, the whole family can have fun navigating their way through the maize (maze).

A family ticket to Boston Park Farm is only £20 including the farm and maize – AMAZING VALUE! We definitely recommend this to anyone camping at Epworth Fields Holiday Park.
