In the spring of 2021, Epworth Fields Holiday Park was purchased by the current owners Billy & Maryann with a clear vision for its future.
Recognising the park’s potential to become a premier holiday destination, the new owners were determined to modernise the facilities while preserving the natural beauty & peaceful atmosphere that made the park special.
This marked the beginning of a series of significant changes that would shape the park's identity in the years to come.
Fast forward 6 months and the luxury lodges became a cornerstone of the park’s transformation, drawing in a clientele that appreciated the combination of natural beauty, modern comfort, and luxury lodge ownership in Lincolnshire.
The introduction of lodge ownership marked a significant shift in the park’s focus, positioning Epworth Fields as a destination for discerning holidaymakers who wanted to invest in their piece of tranquility.
As part of their modernisation efforts, the new management made the controversial decision to phase out traditional camping at Epworth Fields.
For years, camping had been a staple of the park, drawing in visitors who enjoyed pitching tents under the stars & experiencing the rustic charm of the countryside. However, the new owners felt that the future of the park lay in offering more structured & comfortable accommodations.
As the number of visitors grew, it became clear that the park’s infrastructure needed an upgrade. The existing roadways, which had served the park well for years, were showing signs of wear & tear. In response, the management launched a comprehensive roadway renewal project.
The old, uneven pathways were replaced with smooth, durable surfaces, significantly improving accessibility for all visitors, particularly those with mobility challenges. These new surfaces not only offer a more comfortable experience but also ensure safer and easier navigation for wheelchair users, parents with prams, and individuals with walking aids. The transformation has created a more inclusive environment, allowing everyone to enjoy the space without the obstacles that the previous uneven paths presented.
In addition to the new developments, the management recognised the importance of preserving the park’s heritage.
The original cottages, which had been a beloved feature of Epworth Fields for decades, were in need of attention. Rather than replacing these historic structures, the decision was made to renovate them, blending traditional charm with modern amenities.
The renovations were carried out and completed in August 2023, ensuring that the cottages retained their rustic appeal while being updated to meet contemporary standards of comfort. The refurbished cottages quickly became popular among visitors who appreciated their unique character & the sense of history they offered.
These cottages, now equipped with modern kitchens, cosy living spaces, & updated bathrooms, provided a perfect blend of old & new, attracting both repeat visitors & newcomers.
Today, Epworth Fields Holiday Park stands as a testament to what can be achieved with a clear vision & a commitment to both progress & preservation.
